Real Stories

Although it has come a long way, there are still many challenges with the healthcare system today. People aren’t getting the answers they need fast enough and because of the lack of integration and collaboration, millions are dying. Read about a few stories from patients and physicians that have first-hand experienced the dangerous pitfalls of today’s healthcare system.

Dr. Kadri's Story, Founder of KardiaCure

Dr. Kadri sees patients that suffer from a variety of kidney-related diseases. He sees the pitfalls of today’s healthcare system and unfortunately, patients suffer. By the time patients get to him, too much damage has been done, he sees the medical errors that could have been avoided, and patients aren’t able to afford the treatment they truly need. The system continues to fail his patients.

Tired of seeing patients not get the proper treatment they need, Dr. Kadri has dedicated his life to saving lives through KardiaCure.

Dr. Kadri is no longer a practicing physician as of June 2023 and is now focusing his time on KardiaCure

Jean's Story

Jean struggled with conflicting opinions his entire life, it wasn’t until later in his life that was he diagnosed with kidney disease, which wasn’t soon enough. Unfortunately, after years of dialysis and transplants, he lost his battle too early.

If Jean would have received the right diagnosis and treatment plan sooner, he could still be alive today…

Whitney's Story

After years of suffering and seeking help from specialists, Whitney finally received a diagnosis. Through her journey, she lost her home to pay for her medical bills and her trust in the healthcare system. If it weren’t for her diligent advocating, she could have died on several occasions from the avoidable mistakes and lack of integration in the healthcare system.

Not everyone can advocate for themselves like Whitney, and end up falling through the cracks.

Dr. Elder's Story (Cardiologist)

On occasion, wait times to see specialists can be months, which puts patients behind in potentially life-saving treatments. When patients get to him, he doesn’t always have all the up-to-date and accurate health records, so he often has to send patients to get new tests, which slows down treatment and diagnosis. Like many doctors, he wants to help his patients, but this process is the only way he can help them today.

If he had access to the most up-to-date information and could collaborate with his patients’ other physicians sooner, diagnosis and treatment plans could speed up tremendously and lives could be saved.

Brian's Story

Brian didn’t realize that he had kidney disease until later in his life. There were signs early in his childhood, but physicians didn’t see the problems. After spending years on dialysis and finally receiving a life-saving kidney transplant, he lives to tell his story.

If his physicians were able to collaborate on his health concerns earlier on in life, his pain and suffering could have been avoided.

Carla

Carla's Story

Carla is a single mother of two with heart disease and struggles to make ends meet financially. Because she cannot afford better treatments, she suboptimally manages and occasionally has to make trips to the ER. If she had access to the right treatment plan, her expensive and scary hospital trips could be avoided.

If more patients had equal opportunities for great healthcare, they could live healthier and longer lives and emergency rooms wouldn’t be so full.
